InnovMatch 2017 is a platform bringing together innovators, start-ups, developers, innovative IT companies, students, potential customers, and prominent start-up support environment organizations as sponsors. With this competition, we are celebrating innovators and their contribution to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Central and Eastern Europe by helping them developing direct contact with potential customers, enabling best of them access to venture capital representatives and offering them opportunity to develop their potential through collaboration with the Organizers, Partners and Sponsors of InnovMatch 2017. InnovMatch 2017 is dedicated to innovators from the Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FRY Macedonia, Romania and Bulgaria; hereinafter: CEE countries) and will be organized in three Phases:

Partner Phase will be open to eligible Participants who will apply until 16 October 2017 (for eligibility criteria, please see Section “Participation Criteria” of these Terms and Conditions). Participants can take part with as many applications to as many of the proposed Business Cases as desired. Until end of September 2017, technical enablement workshops will take place. Technical enablement workshops will introduce Participants to SAP Cloud Platform technology. Technical enablement workshops will help Participants prepare their Bids by providing in-depth insight into usage of SAP Cloud Platform and context of Business Cases of the InnovMatch 2017. Technical enablement workshops might also include a “Partner’s meet-up section”, allowing Participants direct engagement with Business Case Partners in this early stage of the InnovMatch 2017. Dates and venues of the Technical enablement workshops will be announced on official web page InnovMatch.com. Please note: dates and venues may be subject to change. In latter case, Organizers will inform participants about the new date or venue at least 5 days in advance. Organizers will provide access to on-line courses, open throughout the year on openSAP.com platform. Courses will be free of charge. In case of specific questions, Participants can turn to Organizers for additional support via phone or e-mail. Bids for Partner Phase
Submission of Bids for Partner Phase opens on August 4th 2017. Bids are submitted via YouTube as unlisted video and must include a demo based on a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Demo should not be longer than 3 minutes. MVP is a product with enough features to satisfy early customers requests, and to provide feedback for future development. MVP must be developed using SAP Cloud Platform Technology and must cover the requirements defined in the respective Business Case. Participants are required to submit their Bids for Partner Phase until 16th October 2017, 24:00 CET at the latest.
Partner Phase Evaluation
Partner Phase evaluation will be organized per Partner Business Case as assessment session, where the Partner Juries (one jury per Partner Business Case) consisting of 3-5 members, at least 1 (one) representative of the Partner of the InnovMatch 2017 that proposed the Business Case, will announce Partner Winner and two runner-up’s per Partner Business Case, based on their Bids, no later than 9th of November 2017, 24:00 CET. Partner Winners and runner-ups will be notified via email and decision will also be published on the official web page of the InnovMatch. Winners of the Partner Events will be automatically invited to the Grand Finale of the competition. In case Partner organizes a public event for the assessment in the Partner Phase, Participants bidding for the Business Case proposed by the respective Partner will be invited to pitch at the event. Travel costs are borne by the Participants. Participants will also be able to pitch via video-streaming. Partner Juries’ decisions are final and cannot be challenged in any redress procedure. In the International Phase we invite start-ups, innovators and companies with their own business ideas, built on SAP Cloud Platform, to Bid for InnovMatch. Requirements regarding Biding your own business idea will be published at official InnovMatch 2017 web page on October 1st 2017. Submission of Bids for International Phase opens on October 1st 2017. Bids are submitted via YouTube as unlisted video and must include a demo based on a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), Prototype or Final application. Demo should not be longer than 3 minutes. Start ups and companies can bid their own business idea, however MVP, Prototype or Final Application must be developed using SAP Cloud Platform Technology and further developed for the Final Pitch event. Participants are required to submit their Bids for International Phase until 30th October 2017, 24:00 CET at the latest.
Participants biding in International Phase will be evaluated by Organizers and the finalists of International Phase will be notified by November 9th 2017. Organizers can decide for up to 5 finalists of International Phase, depends on the applications. Finalists of International Phase are invited to Grand Finale (travel costs for 1 representative of the finalist covered).
Grand Finale of InnovMatch Project will be organized as a Final pitch event, where Partner Winners and finalists from International Phase will be invited. An international jury will evaluate pitches and grant the Grand Finale Awards.
InnovMatch has an award fund of 15.000 EUR. The award fund will be allocated among Grand Winner and two runner-ups of Grand Finale in accordance with the Grand Jury’s decision. Additional prizes for the Grand Winner of Grand Finale of InnovMatch 2017 are:

Please note: All monetary prizes will be paid out in 30 days after official announcement; in accordance with legislation applicable for recipient and by deduction of all applicable taxes.
To be able to participate in the Partner Phase or International Phase of InnovMatch 2017, acceptance of these Terms and Conditions is required. Non-acceptance of any part of these Terms and Conditions will automatically exclude Applicants from participation in InnovMatch 2017. In case acceptance of these Terms and Conditions is withdrawn in later stages, that will automatically result in exclusion from the further steps of competition and in case of winning any of the prizes, it will result in renouncing the prize.
The InnovMatch 2017 is open to innovative start-up companies, scale-up companies, students, developers, and IT companies working in areas such as big data, IoT, 3D printing, machine and deep learning but not exclusive to those. Territorial eligibility: InnovMatch 2017 is open to start-ups with officially registered seat or individuals residing in one of the following CEE Countries: Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FRY Macedonia, Romania and Bulgaria. To apply to the InnovMatch Participants are required to fill out the application form available at official web page of InnovMatch 2017. Applicants are required to fill in all form sections. InnovMatch 2017 applications and competition language is English only. Please note that:
In case Participants are excluded from participation, they have no right to claim any of the incurred costs or damages.
All Participants of the InnovMatch 2017 declare that:
Participants also declare that they grant non-exclusive use rights on their Bids to the Partner of the InnovMatch 2017 that has proposed the Business Case the Participant is competing for 12 months after the announcement of Partner Winner. For further use, relevant Partner of the InnovMatch 2017 is obliged to conclude a license contract with the Participant owning the intellectual property rights or agree on any other terms of usage acceptable to the Participant. If so required by Participant or Partner, Organizers will facilitate negotiations for such contract.
Please note: for Business Cases marked with (*), only summary is available for public. Participants signing the non-disclosure and non-use agreement with the proposing Partner will be granted access to full Business Case document. Participants agree to publication, including all reproductions, at all media channels of the of the InnovMatch 2017 without the right to compensation of the following: Participants’ official names, logos, webpages; names of their representatives and their public statements at Partner Events and Final Event; photographs and video clips of their representatives from presentations, Partner Events and Final Event; and short authorized description of their Bid. All specifics (i.e. parts that were not presented in the short authorized description and/or in the public presentation of Bid) of Participants’ Bids will be kept confidential. Jury members of the Partner Jury and jury members of the Grand Jury will be bound by obligation of confidentiality. In case they are declared Grand Winners or Runner-ups, Participants consent to the fact that Organizers will share their contact data, Bid and Prototype solution with SAP.io, Techstar, Startup Focus, and Partners. This does not imply Participants’ being obliged to license their intellectual property rights, except to the extent explicitly defined in these Terms and Conditions.
Organizers will adhere to all relevant Personal Data Protection legislation. With Application, Participants expressly allow Organizers to collect and manage for the purposes of administering and judging InnovMatch 2017 and for purposes of promotion (publishing and re-publishing on web pages of the InnovMatch 2017, Organizers, Partners, Sponsors, on dedicated social media and other media channels):

These Terms and Conditions are governed by German law and all claims of Participants arising from the InnovMatch 2017 are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Karlsruhe.
Terms & Conditions have been changed as of 13rd of October 2017 based on the Steering Committee decision, as follows:
Reasoning: Decision was made to enable the same conditions for participants of the Partner track and participants of the Bring Your Own Ideas track of the InnovMatch competition. Both tracks now have the same deadline, i.e. October 30th 2017, 24:00 CET.
Terms and Conditions have been changed – winners of Partner Phase and International phase will be announced no later than 9th of November 2017, 24:00 CET (and not 6th of November as stated in the original Terms and Conditions).
Deadlines for submission of Bids for both Partner Phase and International Phase were unified to enable all Participants to compete on the same grounds. Considering the prolongation of the submission deadlines, Juries will need more time to evaluate the Bids.
